Human reproductive anatomy 101

Purple Sage has given us the Pythagorean Theorem of ‘female’ and ‘male’ as linguistic definitions as they relate to human reproduction and physiology.

Thank you, Purple Sage!

It has become apparent that there are fully grown adults who don’t understand the facts of human reproductive anatomy. This is rather alarming. I thought everyone got the “birds and the bees” talk at home and a sex ed lesson at school, or at least figured it out on their own from interacting with people, but nope! Since this information is essential for understanding human beings, and in preventing unwanted pregnancy during intimate relationships, it’s important that everyone is aware of it.

Humans reproduce sexually, meaning we come in two sexes and we create new humans by combining a sperm from the male with an ovum (egg) from the female. Here are some helpful defintions of these terms from the American Heritage Science Dictionary (Boston : Houghton Mifflin Co., 2005).

Female: (adjective) 1. In organisms that reproduce sexually, being the gamete that is larger and less motile than the…

Exactly Who is Trans?

Thank you, Yolanda, for your lucid narrative as to why female biology matters in our world of male predators and female impersonators.

Melanin+Estrogen

trans

Almost overnight the topics of gender identity and transgender bathroom access became national headlines, and for the past year, the trans lobby has used memes, slanderous articles, and political force to shut down and label as bigots anyone who voiced a concern about one’s gender identity being used to access sex-segregated spaces instead of one’s biological sex. It has also spent a great deal of time reiterating the dangers that transwomen face in restrooms with other biological males, while ignoring the dangers that women also face from males, and decrying that transwomen JUST WANT TO PEE! But what exactly does transgender mean and who all does it include?

According to the National Center for Trans Equality (NCTE), “the nation’s leading social justice advocacy organization” for trans people, the term transgender refers to “people whose gender identity, expression or behavior is different from those typically associated with their assigned…

Women’s Rights in Retrograde 2016

2016 and the human rights of females, our safe spaces, and prior advancements in our liberation, are continually being either diminished, fought against, or dictated to us in the name of trans inclusion, namely for biological males who identify as transwomen, transgender, gender fluid, gender queer, etc. A snapshot below (by no means complete).

Women’s Groups Protest Transgender Conference: Demand Representation in Debates over ‘Transgender Equality’

“Protesters expressed outrage at the Committee’s recommendation to remove sex-based protections for women and girls by erasing the protected category of ‘sex’ and replacing it with an undefined category of ‘gender identity’. The proposed change would eliminate the ability of women to seek redress under law for sex discrimination and sex inequality. Such violations would no longer be recognized by the state as the category of ‘sex’ itself would no longer exist.

*BREAKING STORY*

London – Furious at the impending erasure of women’s rights resulting from the 2015 Parliamentary Women and Equalities Committee Report headed by the Conservative Party’s Maria Miller, women representing a coalition of feminist, progressive, and lesbian organizations picketed today’s Westminster Social Policy Forum on Transgender Rights.

Protesters expressed outrage at the Committee’s recommendation to remove sex-based protections for women and girls by erasing the protected category of ‘sex’ and replacing it with an undefined category of ‘gender identity’. The proposed change would eliminate the ability of women to seek redress under law for sex discrimination and sex inequality. Such violations would no longer be recognized by the state as the category of ‘sex’ itself would no longer exist.

If the Equality Committee’s recommendations go forth as planned, the elimination of legal sex as a protected class will be replaced by an individual’s declaration…

That’s Not How It Works

AROOO

How many times have you read, “Transwomen Are Women? Full Stop.”  It’s like because it’s said, it is.

That’s not how it works.  Saying it doesn’t make it so. Demanding that others believe it, doesn’t make it so.

If transwomen (males) are women, then why do they call themselves transwomen at all?  Why is a distinction being used?  Are they women or not? Of course the answer is, they are not women.  They are not female.  They cannot become female. Imagine taking your male dog or cat to the vet and asking the vet to make it into a female. The most the vet can do is neuter the dog.  Other dogs will still know that it is a male dog. It may mistakenly get hump, but that happens to all dogs before any neutering happens.

I am a woman and I don’t have to say I am a transwoman…
